Dear Fellow Wild Briar Residents:
The special assessment ballot deadline for road repairs ended on July 31. Thanks to all who participated by voting. We are pleased that so many took time to vote. The 2/3 majority number for Class A votes was 54. The special assessment passed Class A with 61 Yes votes and 14 No votes, and one abstention. Class B cast all votes Yes, so it passed Class B as well
We apologize for the delay in relaying the results. The Board felt it was part of our responsibility to ensure that everyone could be comfortable in the validity of the results, so we sought independent verification of the ballot results by the HOA attorney. Due to unforeseen circumstances in their offices they were delayed in being able to get to the verification. The results of the ballot have now been independently verified by the law office of Brown and Langston, PLLC.
Next steps will include sending out invoices to all lot owners. Your invoice will come from the treasurer email listed below. There will be an attachment included with that email. Please be sure to open the attachment. We are arranging to have the ability to pay by credit card and by direct ACH transfer from your bank account to the HOA bank account. The Quick Book system will not store any of your credit card or bank information as a security measure. If you use the extended payment plan you will have to enter your information each time you make a payment. Those invoices should be going out in email in a few days so please watch for it.
As the materials indicated that were included with the ballot we have arranged with several private individuals to lend the HOA the funds needed to cover those who use the extended payment plan. We will need to know within 7 days of sending out the invoice if you will use the extended payment plan, so we know how much we will need to borrow. Instructions for how to indicate that and your obligations in doing so will be included in the attachment included with the invoice.
The road repairs are tentatively scheduled for September. I am sure that everyone looks forward to having the roads in good shape in our community. Please be sure to exercise caution in driving when the repairs are underway.
In order to ensure that you receive HOA email in a timely manner you may wish to add the following HOA email addresses, w.b.hoa2018@gmail.com, and wildbriar.hoa.treasurer@gmail.com, to your contacts list so HOA email does not end up in the spam or junk folder.
Once again thanks for participating in making our community better for everyone.
